Giving back to our community is a priority here at Van Wingerden Garden Center. Here is a sample of what we offer:

School Tours

All free of charge, kids will get a tour of the facilities, an explanation of how to nurture plants, and each kid will take home their own seedling (free of charge!).  E-mail jen@vanwingerden.com for more info or to schedule a tour.

Home of the “Lynden Basket”

Ever notice how beautiful the hanging baskets are throughout our communities? (We hope so!)  We support our local area townships including Lynden, Blaine and Fairhaven by growing these amazing baskets for them to dress up their streets.

Free Seminars

Not only are we available to help you in the Garden Center itself, but we are often available to speak at your community functions. Shown below are Mike and Sue speaking at the Lynden Women’s Connection. They are available to speak on many different gardening topics.
